"Down the troll hole"

Films: The Pit (1981)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Forest

Height/Weight: Half that of average humans.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: It just wasn't enough to make this film a psychological horror flick about a boy and his evil teddy bear. They had to throw in some horrific fantasy just to spice things up. Not that we're complaining.

History: Jamie Benjamin has a few screws loose, that much is known. His only friend is Teddy, a stuffed bear that talks to him. Makes him do things, even. Things that involve a pit next to his house. This pit contains a race of troll-like creatures he calls Tra-la-logs. He feeds them a steady supply of meat, though Teddy suggests that he start feeding them his tormentors...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After Jamie accidentally pushes his love interest into the pit, he angrily gives the Tra-la-logs a rope so that they can escape and get shot by the authorities. It just so happens though that a girl in the same area has a pit of her own, which Jamie is pushed into instantly.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-On their own, the Tra-la-logs are less than equipped to deal with the modern world. But all they need is a little psycho to feed people into a pit from which there is no escape. You try enduring a group of dwarf-bears yourself and see what happens.

Trivia: -The original script was much darker, with Jamie being younger and the monsters a result of his fragile psyche.

-It took a total of two weeks to make the pit the Tra-la-logs call their home.

Which is "a-lot", basically.

She's fallen and the Tra-La-Logs are getting up!
He's also hanging out with his kind down there, if he was just bad enough.

Like the kid said. We all have to go someday.
